Bark Working, Boxes and Weaving

Our ancestors were a clever bunch when it came to identifying the resources it took to carry out their every day activities. Carrying and storing food stuffs and personal equipment were some of those everyday needs much the same as today, except they didn't use plastic bags and cardboard. A lot of the time they would form their baskets and boxes from the bark from trees. Bark is amazing stuff offering flexibility and strength as well as looking good. We can show you how to make the most of this resource on our 2 day course
